System Limited and NdcTech have joined forces with ASA Microfinance Bank (Pakistan) Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of ASA International Group plc, to implement Temenos’ next-generation Core Banking system.

One of the biggest worldwide microfinance organizations, ASA International Group plc, offers microloans to budding businesspeople in Asia and Africa.

ASA MFB will receive end-to-end core banking implementation and support services from NdcTech, a longtime Temenos premier partner and a fully owned subsidiary of Systems Limited.

By offering value-added services to the unbanked strata, especially female-owned businesses, ASA MFB will further its aim to encourage financial inclusion throughout the economy.

Together with NdcTech’s proficiency with Temenos products and in-depth understanding of modern techniques and tools. Temenos’ elegantly bundled and functionally rich solution meets the need of inclusive banking.

By utilizing cost-saving measures and innovative services, the solution will help the Bank realize its aim of enhancing customer happiness.
The Infrastructure and Platform deployment on Temenos Core will also receive implementation and support services from Systems Limited.

The Core Banking System will install on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform to provide this scalable architecture, making the infrastructure components very resilient.

Asif Peer, Group CEO of Systems Ltd., and Saeed Uddin Khan, CEO of ASA MFB (Pakistan) Ltd., have both signed the contract. Senior representatives from both organizations, including Rob Keijsers, Group CIO, ASA International, and Ms. Ammara Masood, CEO, NdcTech, participated.

“Systems Limited’s engagement with ASA Microfinance Bank for platform modernization is beyond mere technology collaboration,” remarked Asif Peer, Group CEO of Systems Limited at this time. We think that every bit of innovation and digital enablement will contribute to the uplift of the socially disadvantaged and lead to improvements in the local economy.
He continued, “We are happy to not only catalyze digital transformation but also to play a crucial role in lobbying for easy credit access and other cutting-edge financial services for the unbanked people.
“We are thrilled to cooperate with NdcTech & Systems Ltd to implement Temenos’ state-of-the-art Core banking system,” said Dirk Brouwer, Co-Founder, and Group-CEO of ASA-International.

“This transformation will support our vision to enhance financial inclusion and improve the socio-economic conditions of the underprivileged by providing them with financial access anywhere and at any time,” he continued. “It will also help us to serve more low-income female microfinance entrepreneurs throughout Pakistan.
