The FIFA World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar will use the football ‘Al-Rihla’ produced in Sialkot, thus Pakistan will be represented in the world event.
Sheikh Zohaib Rafiq Sethi, Senior Vice President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while talking said that the football ‘Al-Rihla’ made in Sialkot will be used in the matches of FIFA World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar.
He said that Forward Sports, a well-known company of Sialkot, has developed Al-Rahla football for Adidas which will be used in FIFA Football World Cup.
According to Sheikh Zohaib Rafiq Sethi, this is not the first time that football made in Sialkot is being used in the World Cup. He said that this is the third time that the brand of Forward Sports will be used in FIFA World Cup.
Zohaib said the world was currently moving towards sustainability and the material used in its manufacturing was a bio-based recycling material.
He said that Al-Rahila hair has been designed according to the culture of Qatar, the material used in its preparation is bio-based recycling material and its preparation has been made using environmentally friendly water-based chemicals.
He mentioned no solvent chemicals were used in football making, but water-based chemicals were used which do not pollute the environment.
He said that the ball consists of 20 panels and has been declared one of the best footballs in the World.
