In a recent venture, The National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) (a subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan) and JazzCash have collaborated to work on a project that will help to promote financial literacy in Pakistan. The campaign is especially directed towards the youth of Pakistan.

As part of State Banks National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y), the central bank along with Jazz has developed an engaging game called ‘PomPak – Learn to Earn’. The game is specially designed to teach the youth the importance of managing their finances. PomPak is a narrative-driven film that explores the journey of two families who are on their way to develop an economic venture.
The game focuses on developing skills like budgeting, saving, and banking. PomPak is accessible in both English and Urdu. It has defined levels for three age groups: children (9-12), adolescents (13-17), and youth (18-29). Moreover, upon successful completion, the players receive a certificate as well from NIBAF and NFLP-Y. The game can be played on a desktop or download as an app.

Jazz Cash will provide PomPak a source of advertisement on their platforms and help to reach a broader audience of almost 26 million Pakistanis. The MD of NIBAF Riaz Nazar Ali Chunara took the opportunity to emphasize the role of financial knowledge in everyday life. He also said
“NIBAF is extremely proud of what PomPak has accomplished since its inception. This partnership with JazzCash will help us fulfill our commitment to providing free financial education to all.”
The CEO of JazzCash also commented on the occasion. He said that the agreement will help to enable the youth of Pakistan financially and upskill them.
