PTCL Group provides winter clothing to flood-affected localities

One of the first organizations to respond to Pakistan's flood plea for assistance and recovery efforts nationwide was PTCL Group.


For the next winter, the PTCL Group, which includes Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited and Ufone 4G, has donated 3,000 warm jackets to assist the Balochistan communities impacted by the recent floods.

The jackets were given to the Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) to distribute to the flood-affected families in the areas of Orak, Panjpai, Kechi Baig in Quetta, Ajram, Surkhab/Niganda & Tuba Kakari/Ibrahim Khan in Pishin, and Shna Khwara and Nasai in Killa Saifullah to protect them from the bitter cold.

PTCL Group is aware that the situation of flood-affected people has been made worse by the extreme winters. Women, children, and the elderly have been finding it difficult to protect themselves from the cold and winter illnesses, said Group Director PR, CSR & Corporate Communication, PTCL & Ufone, in response to the initiative. Because of the great difficulty of the situation, we must help those who are affected.

“For this reason, the PTCL Group decided to provide a helping hand. To alleviate the suffering of the flood-affected communities as part of its ongoing commitment to their relief and recovery. We appreciate BRSP’s assistance in launching the project as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the speaker continued.

CEO of BRSP Tahir Rasheed commented on the effort, saying that the majority of the houses that were uprooted by the disastrous monsoon floods of 2022 still need comprehensive restoration. And are, therefore, in urgent need of humanitarian aid to live. While the afflicted families struggle with numerous obstacles. Like access to healthy food, clean water for drinking, sanitation, shelter, and educational and medical facilities.

Warm clothes and bedding are two of the most essential items. We are pleased that PTCL Group has once again stepped up.
