The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is conducting benchmarking tests to evaluate the Quality of Service (QoS) of Pakistani mobile networks. It is also expected that these benchmarking tests will be conducted across different cities, and roads based on the Network Performance Score (NPS) methodology. NPS methodology helps to access the mobile network’s quality based on international standards and key point indicators.

This methodology will help PTA gather valuable data insights which they can use to make well-informed decisions. According to sources, the survey has already been conducted in more than 10 cities, 4 towns, 18 motorways, and highways. The assessment was carried out by placing 2, 600 voice calls and conducting 26, 000 data tests. Additionally, PTA is also conducting QoS services to help assess the performance of Cellular Mobile Operators.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has made the results of the survey public so that all mobile operators can take the necessary actions to improve their services.
