Pakistan’s First Plastic Road Now Functional in Islamabad

Interior minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has launched Pakistan’s first-ever environmentally friendly plastic road in Islamabad this week. According to the Minister, the plastic road will help to minimize waste and pollution in the region.

He also added that the program is intended to reduce the impact of plastic trash contamination on the ecosystem. Moreover, the government plans to implement the concept in other cities as well. Sheikh Rashid further praised the Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for launching the federal capital’s plastic road project.
