In a recent development, the Federal Cabinet has approved Pakistan’s first Digital Media Advertising Policy. The process has been undergoing since March this year. The main purpose behind this policy is to take advantage of a large number of social media users in Pakistan which is growing as we speak. Pakistan has around 45 million social media users, which is huge as compared to the current population.
The policy will help streamline the government’s framework to educate the masses and help provide awareness to the citizens of Pakistan. The Digital Media Advertising Policy will also be a good way to educate the masses on issues that are of interest to the public and achievements of the government available in print, electronic, social, and digital platforms.
