Pakistani-born Sabir Sami takes Position of KFC Global Division CEO

A proud moment for Pakistanis – born and raised in Karachi, Sabir Sami has been recently been nominated as the Chief Operating Officer at KFC Global Division. Sabir has graduated from Karachi University with an MBA and is currently serving as KFC Division Chief Operating Officer and KFC Asia Managing Director. He will be replacing the current KFC Global Division CEO, Tony Lowings.

45-year old Sami has previously served the role of managing director for KFC Pakistan, the Middle East, Turkey, North Africa, and Asia. Yum! Brands Inc released a statement praising the young CEO.

Sabir Sami will be reporting to the Yum! Brands Chief Executive Officer David Gibbs, and will assume the office of KFC Global Division CEO effective January 1, 2022. The young CEO also added that he is extremely honored and feels privileged to be part of a “powerful, iconic brand” that is loved and trusted worldwide.
