Netflix, Inc. is an American subscription streaming service and production company. It started working on August 29, 1997. It offers a film and television series library through distribution deals as well as its own productions which are called Netflix Originals.

As of March 31, 2022, it had over 221.6 million subscribers worldwide. It includes 74.6 million in the United States and Canada, 74.0 million in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, 39.9 million in Latin America, and 32.7 million in Asia-Pacific. And it is available worldwide aside from Mainland China, Syria, North Korea, Russia, and Crimea. Netflix has played a prominent role in independent film distribution. And it is also a member of the Motion Picture Association (MPA).

The company is reportedly expanding its services to include live streaming for stand-up specials and other live concerts.

Netflix might be adding live streaming of stand-up comedy shows and live concerts to its services. 

This feature of live streaming can open many possibilities on the platform. And it may live broadcast reunions and live comedy shows as well.

This year, the content streaming platform held its first-ever comedy festival in person, called Netflix is a Joke Fest. The event held in Los Angeles. This event features over 130 popular comedians. And it will be on air later this month.

If they add the new feature. And t could also potentially open up the option of unscripted series, like other linear networks that air big competitions series. Netflix’s greatest rivals, Disney Plus has already begun a live streaming feature, airing the Academy Awards live in February.
