Great news for the Pakistani programming industry! Ahmad Awais, a Pakistani developer, has been praised for his open-source code that has contributed towards the mission to Mars. The open-source has played its role in Mars Helicopter Mission 2020. Mr. Ahmad’s contribution was praised by the Chairman and CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, who said that the Pakistanis contribution to Github made it possible to launch NASA’s Ingenuity Helicopter Mission.

After the appraisal, Ahmad stated the following:
“When I was a kid, I wanted to be an astronaut — exploring space and whatnot. But I was afraid of heights, so whenever my mother asked, I’d say I’ll settle as a scientist who’d invent things like rockets.
Other than Awais there were more than 12, 000 people who contributed to the code, design, documentation, and codes that made the Mars mission possible.
