Microsoft, ADIO Launch GrowthX Accelerator Program in Pakistan

With the startup sector booming in Pakistan, there is more and more investment in this industry. In a bid to empower the growing startups in Pakistan Microsoft has recently partnered with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to launch an accelerator program in Pakistan. The GrowthX Accelerator program will help to integrate startups with bigger companies and help them receive more exposure.

H.E. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, spoke regarding the partnership,

“Abu Dhabi is focused on empowering startups that can create a lasting impact in the digital economy. As a founding partner of GrowthX Accelerator, ADIO is partnering with Microsoft to empower visionary entrepreneurs with the technology, mentoring, and market access they need to get off the ground. ADIO’s work with Microsoft will accelerate innovation and boost entrepreneurship, in line with Abu Dhabi’s unwavering commitment to supporting the private sector.”

The GrowthX Accelerator is a 12-week program that encourages startups to step up in their domain and solve unique challenges through innovative solutions. The first cohort constitutes 15 startups that will be offering their unique solutions to corporate clients and help eliminate their client’s challenges

Roberto Croci, Managing Director, Microsoft for Startups, MEA, also spoke on the occasion saying that Microsoft looks forward to holding the first cohort of B2B startups and helping them compete at this level could be transformational for the startups and the region to develop into a “hub for technology and entrepreneurship.”
