The Parity.org list for women recognizes those organizations that ensure the women working for them are provided with benefits and policies that can help them advance their careers significantly. Moreover, the companies are also judged on basis of women representation in leadership roles, equality in promotion practices and pay-scale.
“Great people beget great companies. Our collective success will be defined by the diverse team we build and the culture we foster,” said Shoaib Makani, CEO of KeepTruckin.
“After a year that has erased all the gains women have made in the past several decades, there are still companies that are making progress to support women’s advancement at work–all the more reason to celebrate their successes,” added Cathrin Stickney, Parity.org founder and CEO.
She further added that the companies that are on the list are an example for creating equal representation. Most companies also share some common best practices such as flexible working hours, work from home option, equal paid family leave option for both genders. Every company on the list has a zero-tolerance harrassment policy and ecourages men to take full family leave.
