Karandaaz Pakistan Joins Global Members’ Network of SME Finance Forum

Karandaaz Pakistan has recently joined the global members’ network of SME Finance Forum to promote financing for sustainable and climate-friendly projects. SME Finance Forum is an international organization that envisions expanding access to finance for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The SME Finance Forum has members from more than 8 countries that share the goal of expanding financial access to small businesses worldwide.
Matthew Gamser, CEO of the SME Finance Forum, stated,

“We are delighted to welcome Karandaaz to further grow our mission”

Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, the chairperson of Karandaaz Pakistan, stated,

“Since its inception, Karandaaz has been working on several initiatives to facilitate access to finance for Pakistan’s MSMEs and we hope that through this membership, we can learn about the latest initiatives and tools helping to improve access to finance for SMEs.”

Karandaaz Pakistan is a not-for-profit special purpose vehicle set up under Section 42 in August 2014. Karandaaz is the implementation partner of the Enterprise and Asset Growth Programme (EAGR) of UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
