IT Ministry proposes 10 year Tax Exemption for freelancers

Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication, Amin ul Haq has proposed easing of taxes for freelancers so the business ecosystem can flourish and grow. The aim is to give a boost to the IT Industry and increase exports. By providing tax relief and opportunities to the freelancers the industry will boost.

Haque said that the proposals were tabled in the meeting with an ultimate focus on achieving the exports target of +ACQ-3.5 billion by the end of the current fiscal year.

Secretary IT Dr Sohail Rajput, officials from the State Bank of Pakistan, the Federal Board of Revenue, the Commerce Ministry, the Board of Investment, and the MD PSEB Osman Nasir were also present.
