Huawei has collaborated with the Higher Commission of Pakistan (HEC) to open registrations for the 6th annual Huawei Middle East ICT Competitions 2021. The competition has an aim to empower students and give them a chance to exchange ideas which will help them improve their practical skills and widen their knowledge base.

The ICT Competition helps to improve the connection between international organizations and government-owned bodies who are already working towards such initiatives. Such competitions in Pakistan will help to improve the spirit to compete among the youth and encourage them to do better in their academics arena. Moreover, they will also be able to inject innovative strategies into the current teaching methods.
With more than 15000 registrations received last year, the competition is expected to receive even more this time. Moreover, there are more than 50 colleges and universities that are expected to be part of the competition. The competition also gives updates to participants regarding the latest technological advancements in Pakistan’s digital landscape such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, 5G, etc.
The national finals for the ICT Competition will be held in October this year, whereas, the regional finals will be held in November 2021. The winners of the regional competition will be given a 20,000 USD, along with internship opportunities, a Huawei certification trophy, and a Huawei Matepad!
