HBL is the first bank in Pakistan to offer “full-featured” financial services over WhatsApp. The facility was created in collaboration with premier cloud communication service provider E.Ocean.
In 2021, HBL will offer Conversational Banking to its clients via E.Ocean’s WhatsApp Business Platform. Furthermore, to utilize the service, clients must begin a chat from the mobile phone registered with the bank on HBL’s WhatsApp number (021-111-111-425). In addition to the existing information services, the “full feature” set of services will now allow HBL users to execute payments / financial transactions. But its transactions/services include:
- Transfer of Interbank Funds
- Transfer of funds between banks Mobile recharging (Prepaid & Postpaid)
- Payment of Utility Bills
- Block and unblock a debit or credit card temporarily
