According to a statement released on Monday, Engro has received the award of largest taxpayer award in the fertilizer sector of Pakistan. The award was presented by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The award holds significant importance for Engro as it highlights its role in being a taxpayer and shows its commitment to the betterment of the Pakistani economy.

The award was presented by President of Pakistan Arif Alvi who was the chief guest at the event. It was received by the CEO of Engro Fertilizers, Nadir Qureshi. Upon receiving the award, Mr. Nadir appreciated the government’s efforts to provide urea to the farmers despite the high international prices.
He also added,
“Continued support from the government will ensure farmer well-being and even higher tax contributions from the fertilizer industry.”
