Daraz celebrated the third anniversary of its full digitalized logistics arm, Daraz Express (DEX). DEX was first designed to conduct operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Nepal. The company has seen a massive growth surge since its inception in 2018. Daraz Express has managed to deliver as many as 65 million packages during this time. DEX is also responsible for supporting over 2/3rd of Daraz’s deliveries. Currently, the company has employed 6,500 delivery drivers also known as ‘DEX Heroes’.

According to Daraz’s Founder and CEO, Bjarke Mikkelsen, DEX was initially launched to provide buyers and sellers an integrated service across the region.
“This is an important milestone for our business and DEX has been a huge success. It has grown significantly over the past three years with more than 240 logistics facilities across South Asia, enabling us to deliver over six million packages each month. It is not only allowing us to connect buyers to customers across geographically challenging markets but the efficiencies we have created through our digitalized offering have enabled us to deliver packages 1-2 days faster than other service providers at a reduced cost and higher success rates,” says Mr. Mikkelsen.
Bjarke Mikkelsen also added that the goal of DEX is to reach 100 million customers by 2030’s end. He also added that the intention of DEX is to help uplift other businesses by providing efficient logistical support.
The DEX regional head, Zeeshan Ali Khan, proudly stated that DEX is proud to reach the milestone they are at. He also added that the reason DEX had expanded over the past three years was due to its focus on customer care and quality.
“Our DEX Heroes are out on the road each day to ensure customers receive their orders on time and in quality condition. While we place a lot of emphasis on the world-class logistics technology that we utilize, our DEX Heroes are truly the backbone of the operation,” stated Mr. Khan.
