China: ‘Prime Time’ to Invest in Pakistan’s Logistic Sector

According to the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce’s (CECC) Supply Chain and Logistics Professional Committee (SCLC) Secretary and Vice Chairman Shi Jinhui, it is the ‘Prime Time’ to invest in Pakistan’s Logistic sector which is growing at an exponential rate.

The statement was made during an agreement between the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce’s (CECC) Supply Chain and Logistics Professional Committee and the Pakistani Consulate General in China at the 2021 China (Shenzhen) Supply Chain and Logistics Summit Forum. The event was co-organized by co-organized by the SCLC and Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association (SZCBEA).

As part of the agreement, the two bodies will take part in exploring the Pakistani market and improving the connection between the logistic firms from both countries.

“Pakistan is witnessing burgeoning e-commerce development,” Jinhui added, “In addition to large cities like Islamabad and Lahore, there is massive potential to be unleashed in small cities. They need logistic facilities.”

There are several Chinese companies that have already grasped the opportunity to work with Pakistani logistic companies.  Jinhui also stressed that there are several “Multi-functional logistics centers” that are underway.
