With the increasing demand for internet services and the emergence of newer technologies, Telenor Pakistan and Wateen Telecom joined hands in order to attain and provide improved bandwidth range. Wateen Telecom has already supported Telenor Pakistan by providing and maintaining fiber-optic coverage for more than 6,000 kilometers all over Pakistan.

Initially, this unison will target twelve major cities of Pakistan where improved connectivity and better internet speed shall be provided.

On this occasion, the CEO of Wateen Telecom, Adil Rashid, claimed that this will greatly benefit Telenor’s subscriber base in their connectivity experience together with the provision of data services without any disruption.

As a result of recent technological advances, increased reliance is being placed on internet services where speed and connectivity are two key aspects. In the past seven years, the user base of broadband-aligned services has increased manifolds – from 14 million to more than 100 million – and this alone has fuelled such initiatives in order to meet the growing demand.
