(PTA) revealed that the number of cellular subscribers in Pakistan increased by 1.79 million at the end of March to 193.42 million from 60.193 million at the end of February. Telecall density for cellular mobiles increased from 87.17% to 87.95% by the end of February 2022. At the end of March, total telecommunications increased from 88.31% by the end of February 2022 to 89.09% by the end of March.
Access to the next-generation mobile service was 76.52% at the end of March 2022, which was 08.52% at the end of February 2022. At the end of February, a decrease of 0.118 million. The number of Jazz 4G subscribers increased from 831.35 million at the end of February to 506.36 million at the end of March.
The number of Zong 3G subscribers dropped from 3.501 million at the end of February to 435.3 million at the end of March, however, the number of 4G subscribers increased from 476.4 million at the end of February to 032.28 million at the end of March.
At the end of March, Telenor had 3,911 million 3G Internet users. However, the graph has declined. Telenor’s 4G subscribers increased from 20.801 million at the end of February to 21 million by the end of March 2022.
The growth of 3g and 4g subscribers are evidencing the rapidly increasing connectivity globally and in Pakistan. We are hoping for increased globalization in the coming decades.
